Located in the beautiful and historic “Harbor
of Hospitality”, Waterbrooke of Elizabeth
City is a licensed assisted living community
located directly beside Sentara Albemarle
Hospital, convenient to many local healthcare
providers. We offer a 26-bed Alzheimer’s
neighborhood and a 30 bed enhanced care wing
focusing on heavy care, dementia and hospice
needs.
At
Waterbrooke, we choose to view ourselves as
a community – a place where we live
and work. We do not view ourselves as a “facility”
but as a home to our residents. We strive
to provide a more home-like atmosphere where
our residents are offered a safe, secure environment
with individualized assistance based on health
care and person care needs, while offering
the most independence possible. We offer free
in-house laundry service (dry cleaning is
not offered), transportation to and from local
medical appointments and outings with the
activities department. Monday through Friday,
we offer a wide range of activities, including
monthly birthday parties and resident council
meeting.
Waterbrooke
is privately owned and operated. We accept
Medicaid, private insurance and self-pay in
our Assisted Living, Enhanced Care and Alzheimer’s
areas. We accept hospice resident and assess
these individuals on a case-by-case basis
in order to provide the best care possible.
Waterbrooke also offers respite care services
with a 10-day minimum.
